Random Walk plans a fresh walking loop from wherever you stand. Here's how to get the most out of it.
“Waiting for your location…” never goes away. Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Random Walk: choose “While Using the App” and turn on Precise Location. Loops need your exact position.
Tracking stops when my screen is locked. Make sure Low Power Mode isn't restricting background activity and that location access is “While Using the App”. Keep the walk running (don't swipe the app away).
Walks don't appear in Apple Health. Turn on Save walks to Health in the app's Settings, then allow Workouts, Workout Routes and Walking + Running Distance when asked (or in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Random Walk).
A loop uses a path I can't walk. Loops come from Apple Maps data. Tap Shuffle for a different loop, and you can report map problems in Apple Maps.
How do I delete a walk? Swipe it left in the Journal.
